Knock Out Dog Fighting and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Silicon Valley
![]()

The Knock Out Dog Fighting crew gave a presentation at a Boys & Girls Club about pit bulls (that they're good for things other than fighting), choices & consequences, over coming adversity and fighting for what's right.
Each of our presentations are designed specifically to that particular age group as well as the particular community. Our presentations for gang-impacted neighborhoods are different than our presentations for affluent neighborhoods. We wo...rk with each community to find out the underlying reasons the kids are fighting dogs in their neighborhood. In some neighborhoods they do it because they need the money and it's easier to go fight a dog than to get it by other means. In those neighborhoods we promote staying school and provide job training.
In other neighborhoods the kids are doing it because they've seen role models doing it or it's to be the "tough guy" in the neighborhood. Who better than men who are professional athletes known as the toughest men on the planet to be the role models teaching children and young adults that abusing, torturing or fighting animals is not cool nor is it a sign of strength, power or greatness.
In a lot of the communities we work in, pit bull type dogs are only seen as "stature builders" or a way to make a quick buck...nothing more. In those neighborhoods we show them that these dogs are so much more and we teach them how to do other things with their pit bulls...even if it's just being a faithful companion.
This presentation was done by Knock Out Dog Fighting members Anthony "Rumble" Johnson, Muhammed "King Mo" Lawal, Kris Crawford & Tahoe, David Karnes, Phillip Foster and Jonathan Offi with Aztec, Ruby, Sadi & Brooklyn. An amateur videographer captured some of the hour-long presentation.
